The Croatian Extravaganza

Our annual member-exclusive Croatian Extravaganza is back!

This year, we’ll beat the heat with an evening celebration in our patio gardens and indoor dinner! Everyone’s favorite activities – live music and dancing, caricature artistry, and of course, delicious wines and passed plates will be punctuated with a sit-down dinner in our cellar as the evening cools and the sun sets.

Legacy Library Dinner – SOLD OUT

Almost five decades of winemaking excellence adorn the shelves of our library, and for one night only, we’re opening it up to you. Join our winemaker, Ivo Jeramaz, as we present a menu curated by head chef and French Laundry alumnus Elliot Bell of Charlie’s Napa Valley (recently named one of Esquire’s Best New Restaurants in America)  The star of the evening is a 1980 vintage Cabernet Sauvignon – a wine only available on this most special occasion. Seated Miljenko’s Tasting

Take a seat, relax, and enjoy an exclusive tasting at our Rutherford estate. Your host will guide you through four limited production and specialty wines. $60 per person. Members are invited to indulge in a curated selection of our finest wines, carefully chosen to showcase the unique flavors and craftsmanship behind each bottle. Set in an intimate, welcoming atmosphere, this tasting allows guests to explore rich aromas, smooth textures, and complex notes, while enjoying personalized attention from our knowledgeable staff. Library Chardonnay Vertical Tasting

When you think of Grgich Hills Estate, you think of Chardonnay – after all, our co-founder Mike Grgich was the ‘King of Chardonnay,’ champion of both the Paris Tasting and the Great Chardonnay Showdown!

For the month of May only, you’re invited to sample a vertical of five vintages of our world-class Chardonnay, spanning from 2011 through 2015. Your dedicated host will guide you through the years, as you savor this unique, age-worthy array of library wines. 

The AVA Tasting

Gain a deeper understanding of the impact that place has on a wine’s flavors by joining our one-of-a-kind AVA tasting experience. Your palate will embark on a journey through our five Regenerative Organic certified vineyards, comprising five unique Napa Valley appellations, as you taste Grgich Hills Estate wines that are unadulterated reflections of the place they were grown.

While enjoying this experience, our tasting room staff will guide you on a tour of the estate, with views of our Rutherford vineyard and a glimpse into our winemaking cellar.

The Origins Tasting

Delve into Grgich Hills Estate’s origins as a winery with distinctly Croatian roots on this unique tasting experience that highlights one of our most cherished wines: Zinfandel.

You’ll learn about Mike Grgich’s hand in discovering the origins of Zinfandel, as you taste not only our own regeneratively farmed Napa Valley and Old Vine Zinfandels, but also our Crljenak Kaštelanski and Grgic Vina Plavac Mali – two ancient, Croatian varieties that can’t be found anywhere else in the valley.

Private Library Tasting

Our special Library Room is the venue for this very exclusive, rare wine tasting of 6 wines which your private host will customize to your preferences. We have a significant Library program here at Grgich Hills Estate and enjoy collaborating with our guests to create a one-of-a-kind, truly memorable experience. Your tasting fee will be charged on the day of your experience.

Grgich Hills Wine Train Experience

Taste the wine that put Napa Valley on the map and get the inside track to a true Napa Valley legend. The winery itself is simple, quaint, and charming, but is home to one of the Napa Valley’s most famous stories. If you haven’t heard of the 1976 Paris Tasting, you soon will. After a gourmet lunch aboard the elegant Wine Train, indulge in a private tour and tasting at Grgich Hills Estate.

Bottle Service

Peruse our wide selection of wines, including some taken from our extensive wine library, and select the bottle that fits your occasion. You and your party can take advantage of our beautiful outdoor garden patio, enjoying wines served in our carefully selected Gabriel-Glas stemware.

Wine By The Glass

Enjoy our beautiful outdoor garden patio which has an easterly view of the Vaca Mountains. With a table reservation you may enjoy wines by the glass from our extensive list featuring a selection of both red and white varietals.
