Tickets are now available for the 37th annual Auction Napa Valley, the American Wine Classic. Hosted by the Napa Valley Vintners, a nonprofit trade association, to raise funds for Napa Valley community health and children’s education nonprofits. Fall in love with the warm hospitality of the Grgich and Hills families as you celebrate the winery’s 40th anniversary. Your home will be the historic Victorian House, surrounded by vineyards near the charming hamlet of Yountville. Relax before being whisked to the private estate of Austin and Sara Hills for a dinner prepared by Austin with wines from his cellar.
The next morning will find breakfast from Bouchon Bakery delivered to your doorstep. Mid-morning, Ivo will pick you up for a tour of Grgich Hills’ Yountville vineyards. Hungry? Breeze back to the Victorian House, where you’ll have the rare opportunity to join 94-year-old and forever young Mike Grgich for an al fresco lunch and lively conversation.
Time to refresh, then on to Grgich Hills winery, where Ivo will take you on a behind-the-scenes cellar tour and barrel tasting of their most coveted Cabernet Sauvignons. Prelude to dinner will be an intimate concert by Mike’s daughter, Violet Grgich and her husband Colin Shipman; dinner will be prepared by Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto, who will also share his sushi-making mastery.
You’ll leave Napa Valley with priceless memories, including signed copies of Mike’s memoir and Wagyu steaks to enjoy with your fabulous new Grgich Hills wine collection.
