This is the largest of our five vineyards, encompassing 99 acres of Chardonnay, 50 acres of Sauvignon Blanc and 11 acres of Merlot. American Canyon is slightly cooler than Carneros, with stronger winds that reduce the vines' vigor and results in higher quality, concentrated fruit. The soil type is quite diverse, ranging from sandy to sandy-loam, clay to clay-loam with slates. Committed to natural winegrowing and sustainability, we farm all of our vineyards without artificial fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides and they are certified organic.
